Hello my name is Epic Moo Pikachu. I am from the rez. (A.K.A Rosebud Native American Reservation) I am freshman that lives in Norris , South Dakota . I attend White River High School . Calm down I know this is a lot to take in but, you’ll get used to it J
I am a female, Native American, fifteen year old. My family and I are very traditional in most of what we do. No, we don’t still live in tipis like most of you out there think K(Huge stereo-type)
I have 10 cousins I currently live with, all boys. I also have two little brothers who are greatly annoying. That’s not all of my family on one side I have 201 cousins\nieces or nephews. Too many of whom I don’t know the names.
But anyway beyond that I love the arts. I have full respect for any shape or form of art. Whether it be: music, paintings, pictures, dance, or tradition. Me I enjoy mostly everything I put down. (I’m a huge rock\metal\alternative fan in music)
Okay ima wrap this up on “I am a very strange person and, I hope you will like my blog entries. I’m a very real person and sadly I tell it like it is. I don’t like to sugar coat it” Epic Moo Pikachu OUT!! JJJ
Hello Epic - I found this blog from a Facebook posting from a friend that I went to school with several years ago. I am of Cherokee descent (five generations before) and have always been intrigued by Native Americans. I have a niece who is close to your age - we live in the state of Ohio - I will let her know of this blog and maybe you can communicate. It is wonderful to hear of your family values and your interest in the arts. I also love art, dance and music, although a little too old for the heavy metal-ha! Hope that all is well with you! Best!
ReplyDeletethanks thats amazing that people actually read this!! :)you have made my day anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI have visited parts of South Dakota in 1998 - it is beautiful country. I am glad that you also posted back! I imagine that you may be a freshman or a sophomore - it is a fun time in life - hope that all is going well.
ReplyDeleteSorry - I re-read your post and your teachers - you are a freshman!
ReplyDeletewell u know high school :P but yeah im trying to make them worthwhile. this blog is helping me get there. its a good place to let my opinion be heard and thats practicaly good for anyone. and sure i like to post back. i have all the time in the world....or so i think.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the High School years - they go very fast? Do you have plans for after you graduate yet? There is a world of opportunities that await you if you choose! It appears by the postings that it is rather remote and quiet where you live. My daughter graduated high school here in Ohio and has lived in North Carolina, Chicago, Illinois and now Dallas, Texas. She loves the city life - I live in a small city of about 13,000 people - it is a nice community, actually the highest point in elevation on the state of Ohio. I live about 60 miles from the state capital of Columbus. Keep posting if you like!
ReplyDeleteHi Epic I am a Freshman and I am the Anonymous's niece... ha ha. I have seen pictures of South Dakota and it is pretty! Well i read you blog and we like a bunch of the same music and movies.
ReplyDelete#anonymous I plann on traveling for a few years before I actually start college. I want to find out what my options are before I set any plans in stone. I've tried city life and to be honest I love it too! It's just the people I have to get used to.
ReplyDelete#polkadot246...lol. what a quinky dink. Well it's very nice to now someone reads my homework/work :) And that's awesome we have a bunch in common, it's not everyday I meet someone my age who likes the same music.
Glad to see that you have aspirations! City life can be fun - just a different pace - and yes there is a different mix of people in the larger cities. You have a few years to make big decisions, and really, you have a lifetime! Looking forward to the holidays?
ReplyDeleteyeah im hoping to watch my baby cousin grow up (slowly). its fun to see him always happy and excited about every little thing. :) i think thats why i love my family so much... HOLIDAYS :D
ReplyDeleteThat is good to hear how much you enjoy your family. It sounds like your home is full of family - bet that the holidays are an exciting time of the year. Little ones are also a lot of fun - have a (kinda) step-grand-daughter, she is 2-1/2 years old. Does your town have holiday festivities? In Bellefontaine where I live we have a Santa Claus parade. Do you get a nice holiday break from school?
ReplyDeleteyeah were a house full :) but no our town is so small where i live in norris. (its only 4 blocks wide and long) so no we dont have anything special for the holidays. and im not sure i went to different schools and they have a longer break from scholl hten white river. but the breaks are good, since we haven't any school on firdays at all :P
ReplyDeleteYou do live in a tiny town - the town that I live in has around 13,000 people. There is a nice boating lake and downhill ski area close by. Maybe I can send some local material to your school sometime that you could share with your classmates - nice to have Fridays off, but I bet you have some longer days then the rest of the school week. You stated earlier that you like dance, I went to a ballet this past Friday nite that was really good. Do you like a particular type of dance?
ReplyDeleteMy town is possibly only 200 people are in norris. And idk about the material you would send... it would be awesome, but I have to ask my teacher if its ok. (school policy or something) Um I really dont have a particular type of dance per-say. Its just fasinating to watch them move with music. But I love the dance in the movie pride and predjudice. My friend jojo loves to dance and its fun to dance. But we dont have any dancing things on the rez like ballet. We only support the traditional dance, but it would be nice if we did however.
ReplyDeleteHope that all is well with you and the rest of your classroom - has been very busy here. I just read several of the other blogs - quite interesting! There are a lot of people in my area that are interested in Native Americans - this area is full of history of the Shawnee tribe. In fact I live now very close to the former village of Wapatomika - I do not know if you have read about Tecumseh or Blue Jacket, they lived and traveled in my area. Check with your teacher, I can send some local info if you would like. Have a wonderful weekend - best to you and your family and friends!
ReplyDeleteThank You and Well look it up. Im sure thiers more tribes out there not sure if thier like us though. But our class says thank you :)
